Bug-Men Phenotypes

I drew this character sheet today just to help me solidify what these little bug creatures I've been drawing are all about. I think it might help me write strips if I can think of them in terms of comic phenotypes.
I really like these guys, but one thing about doing my patented Sadweird™ approach to cartoonery is that you really can't tell if what you're doing makes any sense, on any level.
But yeah, if I were to pursue a more streamlined strip, I'd probably use these guys.
I always dug the bug strips in B.C, Larry Marder's Beanworld (more in spirit than execution maybe?) & Glenn Dakin's 80's strips, which I kinda had in mind when I drew up early versions of these guys.
But yeah, I don't know. It's really hard for me to have a clear idea of what people see when they see my comics.Maybe my fellow ink-spillers will help me out with that.

I Dream Giants

I would described my comic strip, Homeworld, as "experimental", mostly in the sense that I think impressionable young people might be impressed by me saying that.So when they ask that's what I'll say.
In my defense, I really don't know what I'm doing. That's "experimental", right?

In all seriousity, this strip has become a kind of psychic back-wash filter. Sometimes it's a joke, sometimes it's meant to disturb, often times I really don't know. The idea of a planned & executed 'creative product' just really bums me out. Probably because that would be really hard work.
